Hmm, 1408 and 2:08 on the clock does seem a bit of a coincidence... though why Spearman would want to reference that movie I have no idea. John Cussak reviews haunted rooms, but doesn't actually believe in them, but then stays in a genuinely haunted room. Ghosts appear, weird things happen, the plotline falls through a hole in the floor.
