I don't understand how we could do what we had to do without using a browser

well actually... several of the events competitions were about finding clues in source codes...
but if you didn't do those competitions I realise it was tricky

Well seeing that the game finishes this week I think thta means none key holders are out. Guess now we can only help our team members that did get keys to the finish line. come on spearmen!

Okay I am very upset now
Am I the only one that didn't even get Spearman's secret clue email? I am definately on Spearman's team! And they must have my email address because I got the email about this being the last week!
And to top matters off the DBD board has changed and I can't see chat any more

I've emailed them, no reply. I did the posters, stuck them all up around town, I've done all the challenges so far. But I haven't heard from Spearman or anyone for ages apart from the "Last Week" email.

I just saw that, I blood hope it's true!Buckbeak wrote:I don't think anyones out , Theres a new tweet from spearman : SolosEnigma It's not over yet.
Would be unfair as I'm sure some people weren't physically able to take part whether they were at work or engaging in other commitments!

It wouldn't be fair no , i don't think they would do that as they must know we all can't be in at the same time . We all have to work and go to the shops etc . I think if they were going to shorten the numbers it would be in a way where you would have so much time if you know what i mean

Re: New email from Spearman - "Instructions" (09.11.09)
They did give fair warning as to when you would need to be paying attention:
With as many people as there are playing this game (in the UK and elsewhere), there are bound to be a number of people whose schedule conflicts with the release of clues. The least they can do is to let people know when to pay attention, and they've done just that.
If you want to be in for the finish, you will need to be online and watchful next week, starting from Monday afternoon.

From Monday afternoon I didn't really get "You will have about half an hour in order to do this & it will be at a specific time."
Re: New email from Spearman - "Instructions" (09.11.09)
Yes that's true, but people do have lives/jobs/children/committments etc etc etc etc. It's a bit exclusive to leave it to those who have time for pouring over every clue until 3 in the morning....

To be fair, the instructions went out about 4pm... which gave us all almost two hours to do what needed to be done.emiiily wrote:From Monday afternoon I didn't really get "You will have about half an hour in order to do this & it will be at a specific time."
If you were conducting this ARG, how would you have improved this part of the game, while still making it an interesting and fair competition?

Re: New email from Spearman - "Instructions" (09.11.09)
Of course... we all have commitments. All I'm saying is, that it's a competition, and the only thing the ARG guys can do, is to let people know what's coming. I think they did so as best they could reasonably be expected.jude wrote:Yes that's true, but people do have lives/jobs/children/committments etc etc etc etc. It's a bit exclusive to leave it to those who have time for pouring over every clue until 3 in the morning....

Arghh I never got the email, and the ARGanisers haven't emailed me back! Maybe someone could forward it to me? Pretty please? I am definitely on Spearman's team! Just look at my post history if you don't believe me.
My email is lennon.z@rangiruru.school.nz (Yep, I'm using my school address, but shhh)

I'm not an ARG designer, I wouldn't even know where to begin planning one!
Just because e-mails went out 2 hours before it doesn't mean people were able to act on them or even do so much as read them.
It will be a shame if this is the first of many processes of elimination, I hope there will be another chance!

Would have made it more clear that it was going to be a time trial, as previously when they've told us things are going to happen over the weekend etc, we've had at least 24 hours to complete the task.
