1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Just got an email off spearman@derrenbrown.co.uk named "Help required - SOLOS"
With an attachment of an analogue clock saying 3.31.
And another attachment that when unzipped, says
"Can't talk now - we need your help.
Spearman"
Anyone else get this?!

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Yep, got this, I've just gone and posted mine in the other topic though!
My 'need help' wasn't an attachment on mine though.
Wonder why it was 3.31?? Funny time....

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Wonder if it means something will happen at 3.31 on a particular date perhaps? Could be 3.31am!

The image is called aspmcpo.jpg for me which I imagine is relevant.

Oh no, I gotta go out for half an hour now...
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Or how about this with re to the mysterious Spearman? I haven't looked at either site properly, all I saw were letters & numbers and some sort of system or something. I don't know.....

Yep - I got one too:
edit: LC - that looks like Spearman's Rank, a method of measuring deviation in groups of numbers.

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Henry Spearman is a fictional detective I think. Spearman may be a rank within the game? Or Spearman's Principle http://bjps.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/46/4/503
I gotta go out.
I gotta go out.
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Charles Spearman (of Spearman's Rank) is an interesting chap - psychologist and mathematician, and coined the term "g factor": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Spearman

I got one too, just when I was away from a computer *hyperventilates*
I have a stupid, technical question - what program did you use to open the file "ATT00001"? I can't seem to open it, and if they keep sending similar files, I'm gonna miss out

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Ah, great! Thank you, CJ - I knew it'd be something stupidly simple
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Soulmate - don't worry, the email only had the image and the text, no other attachments. The email was sent with AppleMail on a Mac, and looks to have some unusual content-type headers - ThunderdBird on my mac thought it has an additional attachment, but looking at the source there is none.
Just brain storming... 3:31 is 12,660 seconds (or 211 minutes) after mid(night|day). If that means anything to anyone. Oh, and aspmcpo doesn't rot(0-25) to anything either (aspmcpo, btqndqp, curoerq, dvspfsr, etc).

Vixter, you email Phillis and get a number from her.
Ecclesiastes?
Also this quote is on derrenbrown.co.uk
The simulacrum is never that which conceals the truth - it is the truth which conceals that there is none. The simulacrum is true.
A quote from Jean Baudrillard

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
I've had an email with exactly the same thing too. Not even had chance to think what it means yet, been too busy trying to catch up with all the new posts on here!!!!!!!!! Hope we don't have to do something at 3.31am or pm because I'll either be in bed or at work!
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
