5th email from Spearman - "Able and willing?" (Images)

Arghh how confusing!!

I just watched this episode about 11mins in http://www.channel4.com/programmes/derren-brown/4od#2922193

I thought there would be some sort of clue here on what to do.. i.e how to respond to this suggestion but as it goes, I'm screwed if I stick or switch !

Thanks for sharing this website - some of the images and messages are lovely! I wonder why there appears to be such a large nexus around Ampthill, Beds? Ellis Boyard, Andy Deferan, Spearman. The task feels like a needle in a haystack. No wonder that Lox wants to taunt and tempt those that are faced with such a job of work. Only the most committed will ignore him and carry on with Spearman.

I wouldn't have said Lox's task was easy... just easier to work out how to do.

Anyway, I was thinking about this this morning as I was looking for signs on the road.... I've never played an ARG before so I've no idea how much they usually cross over into the real world. The Lox Lot had to put videos on internet... perhaps Spearman's Lot "message to the world" is to get something out there in the world like the Twitter Trends thing or News At 10: "Millions of people in the UK are searching for Andy Deferan....Andy disappeared...." etc



Oh and I've not been accepted by Find Andy either on Facebook... I was thinking perhaps I should have put my forum name on the request since I am not actually an Egyptian goddess....

I'm a Loxer but thought I thought I'd try and help you guys out. Lox wants our videos uploading to Vimeo so it maybe helpful if you look there?

Just got in, so I dunno if this is already out there - haven't even looked to see how the clue situation is going, so forgive me if this is repetition and it's been discussed. I'll remove teh thread if that's teh case. I was heading home tonight and it was bothering me that sometimes it was Derren in the clues and sometimes the emails were from we and sometimes I, so I thought how can they co exist. I'm thinking it's id and ego.

The darkest recesses, Lox. is Derren's id and Spearman is the more cautious ego who protects the desires and fears from running the show. Possible?

Now to find how Andy fits into all of this!

That was my replay to lox! His email has only made me want to find this damn image more. It this stage the two plots of this story are I interlinked. With that in mind if they want to keep going do that road they need people on spearmans side and will have to give us at least a hint as to what and where. And as a last point becuase lox's task is easy does not mean that it will always be the easy road. With out great struggle there is no great reward.

So I say NUTS to lox!

It does seem most likely that we have to find a image or video and then broadcast it to the world by every medium possible. Like previous post said getting it on the news etc. But I think that would be a formality with so many dedicated people here I am sure we can get it up everywhere. The problem is finding the image....

My sister brought my DB "The Specials" DVD up to me.. I was going to check out Séance. Long shot but their might be something on there.

i searched vimeo for all the search phrases relating to spearman, message to the world etc,etc couldnt find anything however i did see some of videos uploaded by the lox team very brave i must say i think ill stick with spearman lol xx

Yes, I have been working on combinations of the above keywords in various popular image hosting sites, too. The list of image-hosting websites on Wikipedia is long, so I am trying to break the request down logically. I don't think that Spearman would choose to send us off scouring the Web looking for a needle in a haystack. There must be a reasoned path between his e-mails and the image that he wants us to send out to the world. If anyone has thought more about these principles then please do share them here.

I think I might just sell my soul and dance for Derren now! I don't feel good about news stories.

Has anyone even thought that there might be a possibility of there NOT being a message to find, cos come on we ain't heard anything from spearman, an it is a needle in a haystack because surely with all the brainstorming we would have found it by now. And lox throwing us a line is the test! By accepting it and those who don't, don't hear anymore cos it's game over! I'm not jumping ship, I'm gonna keep on cos it was my first choice, but I just can't help wonder.......

It seems Spearman's task is a joint one - and he was the one who put this link on his email - while Lox seems happy for his crew to do separate stuff. Divided we fall, united we stand.....?

Spearman did say "I've put it where many other people also put their images."

He doesn't say what it is. I did think that we put our images as our profile pictures. We do it for this forum, Facebook, Twitter etc. . .

I've tried to look at his Twitter pic, but Twitter wouldn't let me on.

I also discovered that there is a mathematical equation called "Spearman's coefficient" or something along those lines. I also found that Spearman was a character in a movie on IMDB.

But nothing that seems significant.

Images is a strange word to use. Especially when you can use photograph or photo just as easily. Images is a broader term for photos/pictures/sculptures it could even mean videos.

ok whilst we all realise that derren and the crew are pissing themselves somwhere watching these videos, i had a thought. not a big or earth shattering one but....

if the loxians have all put them on you tube then presumably they have all metioned lox in the about line. might it be the case (if spearman and lox are one and the same) that a video may have been posted there whilst they were putting them up as a ind of cover. then we would have to find a video that mentioned lox but was not made by a loxian. if you get my rather conveluted point.


either that or we could all just simultainiously send a "do you know where andy is" tweet to derren at 8 30 tomorrow morning. just for fun and to fill up his mentions.

or maybe he is referring to our videos :S
