Probably not; Spearman specifically stated that "not all messages should be sent electronically". However, I am now doubting if posters was really the "common element" after all - if it was, Spearman could have picked any three posters. I think we need to look at how the posters are important as opposed to them just being posters.

Don't shut up Willow, I heard you. I've got Mart trying to figure out how the gamma thing can mean anything in photoshop (he just wishes this would all go away) and I've posted something on curves too and I had this mad thing about it forming a triangular formation when colour is drained using a gamma curve. I heard you. x
Re: Poster task - send your message to the world
Is gamma function to do with the randomness that Derren may have factored into the Lottery and maybe even the casino stuff?
'Analyzing the variances of dependent variables and the sums of those variances is an essential aspect of statistics and actuarial science.'
Fach me, Jackie trying to work out maths, haha!

Uhm... this might not be on the wrong track.
But we're all "posters", right?

Both Spearman and Gamma are statistical rank ordering methods and can be used to determine the correlation coefficients between sets of data, i.e. to see if more hours of television watched equates to fewer IQ points (it doesn't). This information may be useful in future rounds.

Yeh, I think you said that before didn't you? About Spearman.
Re: Poster task - send your message to the world
Could it also be used in calculating time differences for travelling/time zones?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incomplete_gamma_function
There are two types of gamma function and I'm just going to check which ours might be, if it matters... Looks like upper incomplete, but the t and e are actually reversed in the equation on the map, so I dunno if that makes any difference? If it was some kind of discovery? Hmmm. There are variations, deffo...

Re: Poster task - send your message to the world
Just in case, I tried a couple of things. I tried the 17 and 3 from the triangle both ways and got 0.00001345 and 20,922,789,435,066.70000000 as the values? Prob mean absolutely sod all, but I thought I'd try.
