You can either e-mail or tweet Spearman. Or both. I tweeted my link to him earlier.

Course you cant help but think - despite the fact that the SOLOS crew said we could that they would not say we should - post posters everywhere - that, that will be the instruction from Spearman. Because so far as I have read from the posts thats not what we are supposed to do.

LOL *gets on his dancing shoes ready to tap dance around town with a sandwich board. Posters a'flighing* sigh

The posters AREN'T posted everywhere. Seek permission if required; place the poster in position; take the photograph; remove the poster and move on to the next location. No littering or contravening local fly-posting regulations will occur. The image is all that is required, for the sake of the game and the characters' motivations.

abrupt would be how I would describe that comment and despite your serious comment at my humour based one - they "ARE" posted everywhere - everywhere people have posted them as displayed in the various image sites. Please try to not be so serious aero it is as far as I am aware, a game, not life or death.

Moving on - looking through various sites on mind control linked with gamma function and I came across this:

http://www.brainsturbator.com/articles/psychic_warfare_from_1981_2008/ which randomly has a picture of derren in it - the title of the jpeg is "derren cold grilling you" lol interesting article too.

Excellent, excellent, excellent ideas! You went to town with the graphics rogibson! The placard was a great idea, Edd. I took some on the way home last night and I'll post em in a min.

In case you think it's relevant, Soulmate and I think Rogibson, I posted some info on the map thread on how the crusades relate to Marrakech. Might be off on a diff track, but the info is there anyway.

Right, away to join Flickr!

And, yeh, can we keep the mood helpful. We're all a bit knacked and frazzled as it's a constant game even if it is a game. Let's do our best to encourage and not crush comments. At the mo at least, it is a team game. cheers

And Nikki, I wondered why we were off on the poster task too and why the map stuff wasn't the main issue - I was all confused as well. It's happened several times that the over-arching set of clues is suddenly dropped and we're swept up in another task. I just decided to go with the flow after a bit.

What we need is for someone to break down the values in the equation. For instance the large F denotes integers - which from yesterday unless its been mooted as arse - came up as a theory for what the writing on the map meant. Someone suggested one of the words was adinzzahg or something like that - which means integer when translated - or integral. But anyhow if we can break down the meanings of each value of the equation we may be able to work out where to take those values from. Infinity is at the top of the F which means that the limit of the integer can be taken as of infinite value the zero meaning it to be taken from 0 to infinity. oh yeah and of course the triangle means infinity or symbolises it.

I've put some posts up on the map thread about the maths if it's any use, Storm? Not that I know feck all about maths, but I did some Googling last night,

ditto - I only know about nuclear matters with regard to math which sadly is woefully undergunned for this lol

Here are more bits and pieces - I know it's a lot of info, but there is such a thing as the Neumann map and maybe this is it and it shows an Omega integer, which makes it different from the usual Gamma Function, plus it mentions a triangular representation and not spherical or cylindrical ones.

'Neumann map'
http://www.springerlink.com/content/l35xq0m581v52650/

Abstract For the two versions of the KdV equation on the positive half-line an initial-boundary value problem is well posed if one prescribes an initial condition plus either one boundary condition if q t and q xxx have the same sign (KdVI) or two boundary conditions if q t and q xxx have opposite sign (KdVII). Constructing the generalized Dirichlet to Neumann map for the above problems means characterizing the unknown boundary values in terms of the given initial and boundary conditions. For example, if {q(x,0),q(0,t)} and {q(x,0),q(0,t),q x (0,t)} are given for the KdVI and KdVII equations, respectively, then one must construct the unknown boundary values {q x (0,t),q xx (0,t)} and {q xx (0,t)}, respectively. We show that this can be achieved without solving for q(x,t) by analysing a certain “global relation” which couples the given initial and boundary conditions with the unknown boundary values, as well as with the function Φ (t)(t,k), where Φ (t) satisfies the t-part of the associated Lax pair evaluated at x=0. The analysis of the global relation requires the construction of the so-called Gelfand–Levitan–Marchenko triangular representation for Φ (t). In spite of the efforts of several investigators, this problem has remained open. In this paper, we construct the representation for Φ (t) for the first time and then, by employing this representation, we solve explicitly the global relation for the unknown boundary values in terms of the given initial and boundary conditions and the function Φ (t). This yields the unknown boundary values in terms of a nonlinear Volterra integral equation. We also discuss the implications of this result for the analysis of the long t-asymptotics, as well as for the numerical integration of the KdV equation.

There's also mention of it in connection with electrical waves and maybe it relates to Derren's post on the birds and guidance systems. Maybe it's also in connection with the Google satellite navigation too.

Has anyone heard back from Spearman after sending him links to their photos of the poster being dsiplayed in public?

I'm wondering where I should put mine.

Hmm, if I could just get up close enough to one of these sheep with my poster and some sticky tape...

So if we use the gamma function equation and link it to this game - mainly its used for probability functions - how or why would we need it. Working out the the probable outcome of . . . nope nuthin but the sound of my synapses collapsing.

Its hard to work out why the poster theme though - I mean if thats what we are supposed to do - (i am gonna do it tomorrow after I haul my printer out of storage)
but have they got to be up for a long time, duration of game, etc....... and he did say we have the message and he would explain how we were to use the message in time ... then the message from the solos gang saying that if we want to do it its fine by them, but that they would not confirm or deny that was part of the game.

Walked home last night from Soho to Stoke Newington, so my posters are dotted from the West End to North London. You can catch em here. There are Banksy's on the way, so I thought it might be good to tie them in with his ethos... Here ye go. http://www.flickr.com/photos/44190248@N06

And, Codifier, you calling us sheep? Is that as sarky as the whole 20 mins it took you to find the Spearman Flickr site, heehee? Laughing
