DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Hi,
Not sure if many people come here any more but on DB's blog there was a post saying that he will be exhibiting three of his portraits at the Saatchi Gallery from 7-9 October for the 'Art of Living Event'.
Just wanted to see if anyone was up for going on the Saturday as me and my DB-loving mate will be heading down there on the weekend, thought it was a good meet-up opportunity?? Been to the gallery before and it is pretty awesome.

Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
I'm still here - there seems to be a slow trickle of other members visiting but not a heck of a lot in the way of posts.
Would love to meet up at the Gallery but of course can't for reasons that involve being in a different country.
Take care.
P.S. I watched that Joe Power doco thing that Derren did. Interesting to see how he softened his skepticism in the light of people taking such comfort from being told their lost loved ones were OK.

Cool! I mentioned it the other night on Twitter too as I don't think many people come here any more. Be great to meet up with you again though and hopefully some others x
Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Be lovely to see you again too! Hopefully get a few others to come along as well, maybe make a weekend of it xxx
Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Oooh, not been on here in a while. Yes, sounds like fun, hope I can make it! xx

Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Now that DB is doing his talk at Cheltenham on the 9th October I shall be going to the exhibition on the 8th instead hopefully, if anyone would like to meet me
Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Would love to but we're a bit short on pennies I'm afraid
DB is certainly going to have a busy three days - opening exhibition at Saatchi Gallery on 7th October, next live special on the 8th and then to Cheltenham for his talk on the 9th! Poor guy can never catch a break

I'm going to see if I can get up to London either 7th or 8th... will have to wait to see what's occurring at uni first...
Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Would love to get to that but doubt I will, October's looking like a busy month!

Last time I checked the info about the exhibition, the 7th is press/VIP only so it would have to be the 8th, that's why I'm going that day
Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
There's nothing stopping you from crashing the VIP event!

Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
Given the job I do I can sometimes get free tickets to stuff and free signed books in exchange for interviews etc, etc. but it's a secondary school aged kids magazine that I am editor of.
Believe me, I have thought many times of ways that DB could be woven into stuff that's to do with writing and poetry for kids but just can't see my boss going for it, nor DB's people.
Blagged an invite to Hyde Parks Winter Wonderland press/VIP night in December but think DB's exhibit is pushing it a bit! If only ....

Re: DB Exhibition At Saatchi Gallery
That's ace, sounds like a cool job though.
Me and Sarah were thinking of ideas before for how we could get hold of DB's new book early. Decided holding up Waterstones with a toy gun is the best idea! (Disclaimer: in no way am I promoting armed robbery, whether armed or not )
