Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Hi ardyer - yeah could quite possibly be... this museum is starting to look like a pretty good landmark.
Did I read on here that Lewis Carroll's fob-watch (of white rabbit fame) is still being wound up? Or did I dream that? Just thinking, is the actual watch, on display, stopped at 3:31? Or is it just that particular photo of it, that shows 3:31?
I'm wondering if that website itself might be the clue, not the watch (or the museum).

This is all very exciting; I think we're on to something, thanks to Storm. Let's wait and see what the final piece of the puzzle is! I'll have a look at the Museum of Oxford website during my lunch break.

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Wow sounds like a major breakthrough with that pocketwatch!
It must be pretty certain that we're following Alice in Wonderland and searching around Oxford now...
Round of applause for Storm!!

Can anyone get into this? My work computer won't let me:
http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/OxfordTour/oxfordcitytours/museum.asp#
Top left icon, if you hover over it, it'll give you a virtual tour of Alice in Oxford.

Storm - I've deleted your post about the film 1408 from this thread, and moved the replies to your 1408 film thread... didn't seem to be on topic in this thread (about Lewis Caroll's pocket watch stopped on 3:31) - if i'm wrong let me know.
I've also separated out the "happy birthday" youtube clip, as again I don't think it's pocketwatch related - apologies if it was, feel free to re-post the connection in this thread again.
Cheers,
Colin

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
Well done on the stopped watch find! Since the first clock file name was not an anagram of compass, I think we should assume that that pic refers to finding the fob watch at the museum and is not a compass or direction lead. Maybe from outside the museum you can see a map/maps and the other clocks refer to a grid ref on the map or maybe the other clock refer to something entirely different. I think it is possible that Darkman is trying to lead us astray. When we get the third email maybe more will become clear.
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
I agree with you LairyT - maybe the first clock is a starting point, and the others are directions?

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
i've scowered that link to find any kind of clues and have looked on the other exhibitions in that gallery but nothing pops out. the stopwatch itself isn't visable from this viewpoint so no clues there. will have to wait till tomorrow for the news from that. I think larryT that this clock is a starting point but perhaps we don't have to actually visit it.... all will become clear soon i feel

Unfortunately this website shows his watch at 1.16ish. In fact I think this may even be a different watch, also in the museum.

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
ok i've sent an email to the contacts on the oxford museum site asking about the clock and wether it's being kept running (as was mentioned earlier) or has stopped at a specific time.
I will let y'all know as soon as i hear from them but just thought i'd post this on here so that the poor museum doesn't get flooded with emails from everyone!

Now what? Just wait for the next email to turn up?? I'm getting a little lost with all this compass business tbh.

Storm, you belter! I'm too old and ugly to have your babies, but I will love them as my own when you have them!
Like Lairy T, I think our job's done in Oxford and we gotta scram somewhere else. But where? And which direction? I think maybe back to London or further down, but I'm just catching up and haven't read poss locations or the clock/compass stuff yet. And I'm inclined to trust Spearman as I feel he led us somewhere - but was his just a small detour to keep us away from another location?

Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
See 'Spearman replies' thread. He just told me I was on the right track before, but am digressing. This was in response to me asking him about the fob watch.
Let's get out of Oxford!

And wasn't it Agent Smith who asked for Anderson's help first? I'm gonna check the script again. In that case, maybe we really aren't to trust Spearman?

Any update on this yet?? xx
Re: 1st email from Spearman - "Help required - SOLOS (3:31 clock)
If this means anything, Alice Liddles watch was showing 9:45, Lewis Carrols as showing 1:16 and I was in there gone 2pm... So I'm assuming no, they aren't kept running. I did take pics, but they're on my phone and veeery shit.
