Thanks Jenny; sometimes random nonsense makes the most sense! I think we definitely have to be on the lookout for backwards things, as Spearman is still banging on about it. We do have one backwards link though, as the clues in episode of trick of the mind were found if you effectively watched it backwards. It also happened to match up to Marrakesh via grid references.

There's a lot of backwards referencing now and leading up to The Events... Since they are Enigma posters I have also been wondering if it has anything to do with the Enigma show (which I am beginning to doubt since not everyone playing would have necessarily seen it and we can't discuss it etc). Anyway, backwards walking, talking, driving, skateboarders, writing and references to time going backwads. Palindromes are just words written backwards which read the same in both directions..... He also said the four Events were events of Misdirection.... I can't help but wonder if this is another event of misdirection... and am so happy to be a part of it! Cool

What about if Spearman has latent tendencies and his true nature is still to appear? Maybe he got sacked for a reason? Maybe teh tests revealed what was to come? IS to come?

I'm also just gonna chuck in the fossils and the 'lying' that the team who found and are working on Ida are doing. Maybe Spearman is a paleontologist and he's manipulating the truth about some important/evolutionary/Darwinian find for his own financial gain? Or maybe Lox is? Just chucking it all in. Time went backwards when they found these fossils?

Yes, that's true. Having said that, some of us may be grasping at straws (I don't mean anyone specific - just generalising!), kinda like when David Tennant and other participants were trying to find patterns to get the counter to increase.

I think if we fire the theories out there, the clues we're given next will let us know if we're headed in the right direction. Or they may mirror and send us in the opposite direction!

Yes, there's no harm in theorising - when we get more clues, we'll be able to differentiate between them and pinpoint the correct ones Very Happy

Well, as I always say and apologise for, my brain fires off in all directions. But I can't actually help it. I think I have the thing Billy Connolly has. But I think it's OK at this stage to put down the connections and poss scenarios that come to mind. We will be 'guided' methinks... 'Get out of Oxford!' It's OK to make THEIR job a wee bit harder too, heehee!

That's the principle I was trying (and failing) to explain! Maybe we need to look at this on a much more simple level. From here our Spearman taskes are:

Get Ellis in touch with Spearman
Find Andy

That's it. And Hannah's done the first one already.
